Leadership Experience
In his role as plant manager of the Escobedo Assembly Plant, Oziel Salinas draws on more than 21 years of experience in the manufacturing industry at world-class companies. Salinas' primary responsibilities center around building a high performance culture and ensuring continuous improvement in processes and systems. His main goal is to ensure Escobedo products meet quality, cost and delivery targets, and exceed customer expectations. Salinas has been in manufacturing managerial positions for the past 13 years in quality, production, and operations capacities. He has worked at plants for companies such as Emerson Electric, United Technologies Carrier, Caterpillar Mexico and John Deere. He received dual bachelor of science degrees in mechanical and electrical
engineering, as well as industrial engineering at Nuevo Leon State University.
Salinas holds a MBA from the University of Monterrey. He is APICS certified
in JIT and MRP.
Jorge Tamez oversees the Medium Duty Business Unit at Escobedo Assembly Plant, which is accountable for the quality, production and manufacture of medium-duty trucks at the plant. Tamez primary responsibility is to ensure that medium-duty products meet world-class manufacturing and quality standards and exceed customer expectations. Tamez's work history includes experience as a manufacturing engineer at Spriax Sarco from 1988-1991, and as a process engineer at Whirlpool Mexico from 1991-1994. He was also a coordinator for quality and engineering at Grupo Condumex from 1994-1997. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Nuevo Leon State University.
Jamie Ulloa serves as Heavy Duty Business Unit manager at Escobedo Assembly Plant, ensuring that heavy-duty trucks built at the plant meet world-class manufacturing standards. He is responsible for heavy-duty operations, quality and manufacturing. Ulloa 's career includes engineering experience at Hylsa and Carplastic/Ford. While with International at Escobedo, he has worked as cabtrim manufacturing engineer and medium-duty cabtrim production coordinator. Ulloa also led the launches of the 9000 Series and NGV at Escobedo in the capacity of launch manager. He holds a degree in electronic and communications engineering and a
master of science degree in manufacturing systems, both from the Instituto
Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. Ulloa is a member of
PMI.
Cesar Perez ensures that each truck built at Escobedo Assembly Plant is delivered on time and with the expected quality levels to other assembly areas of the plant. As the cab assembly and paint business unit manager, Perez is accountable to manage resources and deliver the planned objectives for the business unit. Perez also develops the long- and short-term yearly business plan for the quality, manufacturing and production areas. He holds a degree in electronic engineering from Nuevo Leon State University
and a MBA from the University of Monterrey.
As member of the Customer Response Center, Rodríguez programs production for the plant overseeing the assembly of the truck at Escobedo from order to delivery providing time specific satisfaction by establishing credibility in scheduling throughout the order to delivery process. Also he acts as the single voice of commitment to the customer by providing a consistent high process quality closely linked with manufacturing technical support.
Rene Reyes serves as the human resources manager at Escobedo Assembly Plant, making sure that a quality, trained workforce supports a world-class manufacturing organization. Reyes is responsible for the hiring process and training programs, as well as maintaining a positive relationship with the union. He also oversees the safety, medical and plant protection departments, as well as provide services such as transportation, food service and uniforms. Reyes is accountable for the maintenance of competitive compensation programs. Reyes has more than 12 years of HR experience within manufacturing companies. He has worked at Escobedo since 2000 and previously managed HR at Caterpillar in Saltillo, Mexico. Reyes also worked in several HR-related positions for Mabe General Electric Appliances in Mexico. Reyes holds a bachelor of science degree in human resources administration
from San Luis Potosi Technical Institute and a master’s degree in
organizational development from ITESO University, Guadalajara. |
